Frequently Asked Questions

General

What is Simplr?

Simplr is a connected product operations platform. It brings customer experience monitoring, reliability, fraud and identity signals, managed devices, safer releases, and operational automation into one workflow.

How does pricing work?

Simplr plans include shared monthly credits for risk checks, orders, RUM, edge logs, and AI-assisted work. Device Management (MDM) is billed per enrolled device, while feature flags include a separate monthly request allowance. See the full Pricing page.

Is there a free tier?

Yes! The free tier includes 1,000 credits per month, perfect for testing and small projects.

Integration

Do I need both the SDK and API?

For best results, yes. The SDK collects client-side signals (device fingerprint, behavioral biometrics), while the API performs server-side verification and returns risk scores.

Can I use just the API?

Yes, but you'll miss device fingerprinting and behavioral signals. The API alone can still verify emails and phones.

How long does integration take?

Basic integration takes 15-30 minutes. Full integration with behavioral biometrics typically takes 1-2 hours.

Privacy & Security

What data do you collect?

  • Device characteristics (no PII)
  • Behavioral patterns (typing speed, mouse movement)
  • Email/phone for verification
  • IP address for geolocation

How should I handle privacy requirements?

Treat Simplr as a service processing product telemetry and risk data on your behalf. Minimize submitted personal data, disclose the processing in your privacy notice, configure SDK masking, and confirm your organization's contractual and regulatory requirements with Simplr before production use.

Where is data stored?

Data is stored in managed cloud infrastructure. Retention varies by plan and product; RUM replay follows the plan retention window. Contact Simplr for the current hosting region, subprocessors, security reports, and contractual controls required by your organization.

Technical

What browsers are supported?

Chrome 60+, Firefox 55+, Safari 12+, Edge 79+, and mobile equivalents.

Does the SDK work with React Native?

Yes. Simplr provides React Native, Flutter, iOS, Android, JavaScript, and framework-specific SDKs.

What's the API latency?

Latency depends on the endpoint, selected check tier, external providers, payload size, and region. Measure your actual integration and set timeouts/retries appropriate to the operation; asynchronous checks can complete through webhooks.

Billing

What happens when I run out of credits?

API calls will return a 402 error. You can purchase additional credit packs in the dashboard.

Do unused credits roll over?

Monthly plan credits reset at the end of each billing cycle. Purchased credit packs do not expire.

Can I upgrade mid-cycle?

Yes, you'll be prorated for the remaining days in your billing cycle.
